Payroll compliance checklist: EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB

By EINC Advisory 4 min read

Payroll penalties are avoidable. They come from missed deadlines, not from complex calculations.

EPF (KWSP)

Employer and employee contributions are due by the 15th of the following month. Late payment attracts dividend charges plus a late payment charge.

SOCSO (PERKESO) and EIS

Both are due by the 15th as well. EIS is often overlooked for employees hired mid-year — check your new joiner process.

PCB (MTD)

Monthly tax deduction is also due by the 15th. The common error is failing to update PCB after a salary revision or bonus.

Keep the audit trail

Retain payslips, contribution statements and receipts for seven years. During an inspection, the statement alone is not sufficient evidence of payment.
